Food for thought: College statistics say that 30-40% of students transfer between majors or schools, so you may want to consider this when purchasing your computer. A few questions that will come up during your computer search may be:
Mac or PC? The choice of Mac or PC depends on what platform you are most comfortable using. If you think you might switch colleges, Apple computers allow you to switch operating systems.
Which laptops are the most reliable? Our experience shows the best laptops are: Lenovo ThinkPads, Apple MacBooks & MacBook Pros, Dell Latitudes, and some Gateway models.
Do I need a warranty? We suggest at least a 3 year warranty and accidental coverage if available.
Why should I purchase through Computer Connection? We usually have the best prices for computers when you consider the quality and features of the computer. We also have special pricing on our student software. **We suggest that you purchase during summer orientations, when we will have the best deals and bundle offerings!**
Is financial aid available for computer purchases? Check with the Financial Aid office to see if you are eligible for a one-time student computer loan. Also the University Credit Union offers loans at a low 1% over Wall Street prime loans.
We look forward to helping you with this important purchase. Please call
